PLEASE READ THIS PAGE BEFORE COMPLETING THE FORM
Hanging around waiting for that puppy is so exciting!
Puppy waiting rooms are the first step in connecting with your ethical breeder. Completing the form does not mean you are in the puppy waiting room. This initiates the steps only. Once you have read how it works, you have agreed together with the breeder, and you are 100% sure, then your breeder will send you a registration waiting room form with a payment option for you to pay your holding deposit to the breeder. The breeder retains the deposit until full payment is made (usually at pup pick up). Refunds are available at the breeder’s discretion
Why Puppy Waiting Rooms?

Litter sizes typically range from 4 to 8 puppies, which unfortunately limits the overall availability of these adorable companions, causing many families to miss out on the joy of bringing a new puppy into their home. The scarcity of puppies can create extra demand and anticipation for potential pet owners. Furthermore, breeders often prefer utilizing waiting rooms over traditional advertising because they genuinely care about the well-being and future of the puppies they breed. They want to ensure that each puppy goes to a good, loving home where they will thrive. Waiting rooms provide a more stable, controlled, and safe environment for both the new puppy owner and the puppy, as they are thoughtfully structured to give both parties ample time to get to know each other and establish a bond before making such a significant commitment. This setting helps foster trust and ensures a smoother transition for the puppy into their new life.
Waiting Rooms Process Chart
Contact Enquiries | Communication between the breeder & new puppy owner is initiated in many ways, either through word of mouth, following a social group, or via friends. Breeders will also want to talk, not text or email, with their prospective new puppy owners, as this allows the breeder to assess their genuineness |
Next Litter Availablity | The breeder will give you the date that their next litter will be available, when born, and the date they can go to their forever home |
Introducing Puppies Parents | Information and photos of both the sire (dad) and the mother are shared and all relevant questions answered. |
Breeders Details | Information and photos of the sire (dad) and the mother are shared, and all relevant questions are answered. Breeders’ registration numbers and puppy contracts (if applicable) are provided. |
Puppy Owner Details | The breeder will ask about your home environment, fencing, and if you have young children and other pets, if you have ever owned a furbaby before, and your general keeping and care of your puppy |
Decision & holding Deposit | Buying a puppy without first seeing it can be daunting, so a waiting room is not a guarantee. The breeder expects a holding deposit in advance to keep a puppy for you, and if, in the event, they cannot provide you with a healthy puppy of your preferred sex and colour from the litter, they will offer you another puppy or refund your deposit if you prefer. |
Choosing your sex and colour | You must provide the sex and colour of your preference, but once the litter is born and you can view the litter, and you then change your mind, the breeder will be happy to do so, provided the puppy has not already been spoken for. |
Birth of litter | Exciting! The breeder will inform you immediately, you will receive a video/photos of the newborns, you will be given all details such as their health, size, colour and sex, and you will be told on- that-date whether your chosen puppy has been born, and you will be introduced via video call. |
Visiting puppies in person | The breeder has a duty of care to protect the litter, so visiting only after the 3rd week will stand unless the breeder allows visitation earlier. |
Puppies – 6 weeks old | By law, a puppy has to be 6 weeks old to go to their forever home |
Terms – Full payment | All paperwork is to be signed before the puppy leaves |
Puppy Contracts ( if applicable) | All paperwork is to be signed before the puppy leaves |
Invoices for deposits & Payments in Full | All paperwork is to be signed before the puppy leaves |
