Why Puppy Waiting Rooms?
Litter sizes typically range from 4 to 8 puppies, which limits their availability and increases demand among potential pet owners. Many breeders prefer using waiting rooms because litter selection before birth helps place puppies with the right families, the puppies’ homes are secure, and families get to secure a puppy without missing out.
Waiting Room Process
| Contact Enquiries | Communication between the breeder & new puppy owner is initiated in many ways, either through word of mouth, following a social group, or via friends. Breeders will also want to talk, not text and email, prospective new puppy owners, as this allows the breeder to assess their genuineness |
| Next Litter Availability | A birth date and going home date will be provided |
| Introducing Puppies Parents | Photos of both Mum & Dad are shared with the Genetic health details |
| Breeders Details | Breeders’ registration numbers, address, BIN (selling authority) must be provided |
| Puppy Owners Suitability | The breeder will ask about the home environment, fencing, and if you have young children and other pets, if you have ever owned a furbaby before, and your general views about the care of your puppy |
Waiting Room Terms
| Decision & holding Deposit | Buying a puppy without first seeing it can be daunting, and a waiting room is not guaranteed. The breeder expects a holding deposit in advance to keep a puppy for you. Still, if, in the event, the breeder cannot provide a healthy puppy of the preferred sex and color from the litter, they will offer you another puppy or refund your deposit in full |
| Choosing your sex and color | You must provide the sex and color of your preference. This can only be changed to another litter puppy if available and not already spoken for |
| Birth of litter | Exciting day of birth, you will be introduced via live video call, where you get to see the litter, as well as photos will be sent so you can choose your puppy |
| Visiting puppies in person | Puppies must be 3 weeks of age for live visits. A constant flow of updated images and videos will be sent to the owner, displaying the growth and development until the puppy leaves the litter for their new home |
| Puppies – 8 weeks old | By law, a puppy has to be 8 weeks old to go to their forever home |
| Terms – Full payment | Full payment is made either before or on the day the puppy leaves |
| Puppy Traveling (if applicable) | Puppy Traveling – All travel costs are at the new owner’s expense |
| Invoices for deposits & Payments | To be provided by the breeder |
Installment Plans After Full Deposit is Paid
Pre-Arrangement Required. Pay by installments at amounts that suit your budget. We use Square invoicing for payment plans. Once set up, payments will be automatically deducted from your account. Note: Full payment is due by the day your puppy goes home.
